Gillian Muir

Gillian paints for fun and to challenge herself. She likes to explore new mixes of colours and new textures. Since she has lived in many places in BC, her paintings tend to be a mix of sights and scenes that she has known. No two paintings, while they may be similar, are ever the same. She wants to share the resluts of her experiments with you and hope you enjoy them too. Feedback is welcomed.  Desert Pickings

Gillian's Journey

Gillian began began her painting journey with Sue Williams and occasionally with Carol Ann Gupta

She took to acrylic particularly for its quick-drying and transportable qualities. It also gave a richness and depth of colour which appealed to her.

She joined a painting group at the West Van Seniors Activity Center where she met James Elton and a variety of other talented artists. Now she paints in a small studio in her home in North Vancouver and, whenever possible, still with the group at the activity center. Gillian has sold paintings, gifted others and has had some on display in various locations and in several showings.
